My Creative Philosophy: Dance is more than technique. It builds bridges between thought, movement, and emotion, becoming a reflection of our shared humanity. In the studio, I strive to create a space where artists feel supported, challenged, and free to take bold creative risks. My approach blends technical rigor with dramaturgical exploration and conceptual research, guiding movers to consider not just how they move, but why. Through this process, they learn to build stories with their bodies, embody intention, and think critically about the art form.

Choreography: With a strong technical foundation and a choreographic voice that moves fluidly across genres, I create work that is visually striking, emotionally grounded, and driven by story. My process weaves dramaturgical research with imaginative concept development, often beginning with rich visual storyboards that evolve into layered, expressive movement on stage. My work also investigates the human condition and explores connection in its many forms, transforming ideas into physical narratives that resonate with audiences. As a movement director and coach, I collaborate closely with actors and singers to expand their physical vocabulary and deepen their presence on stage.

Dance Education: With over 14+ years of teaching experience, I am a a third-generation dancer whose passion for the art form was sparked early. My grandmother studied with Mary Starks Whitehouse and recalled the magic of seeing Martha Graham perform in Detroit, and my mother, a classically trained dancer, passed down a lifelong love of musical theatre. That legacy shaped my path as a Contemporary Educator rooted in the classical techniques of ballet, modern, and jazz. I've had the privilege of teaching at performing arts institutions from coast to coast, and from 2020–2023 ran a successful virtual dance school that brought weekly classes to more than 1,500 students around the world.
Performer: I've built a versatile performance career collaborating and performing works by artists such as Ronald K. Brown, Helen Pickett, the Martha Graham Trust, Paul Taylor (ADF), and Michelle N. Gibson. My performance credits span the stage and screen, including international tours, feature films, commercials, concert dance, and regional theatre. I've performed in more than 50 U.S. cities, appearing on renowned stages including the Winspear Opera House in Dallas, Ailey Citigroup Theater in NYC, the Fox Theatre in Detroit, and the Lake Placid Center for the Arts in upstate New York. Full performance CV is available upon request (select credits are listed in resumé).
